I thought I understood what poetry was until I read it out loud and heard its voice in my words. Poetry is created to be shared, a communication between hearts, the pregnant silence between the beat and its echo. Poetry does not stay silent, pressed between the pages of a book, waking only when it's read.

The world is poetry, if you listen. This is just what I've heard.
